A History of Hardwood Flooring

We get numerous questions on where our name comes from. It has been explained to us by earlier generations that during the 1950's and the 1960's while Minneapolis and St. Paul were expanding, the suburbs and outer fringe city areas did not have sufficient power to successfully operate the sanding equipment. Our company identified this as a challenge and instead of turning these jobs down or sanding them improperly with sub-par equipment, we had a trailer mounted generator as our power source. Today this may seem to be a minor service but back then portable generators were rare and difficult to maintain. Our currect owner and operator elected to continue the name, and is proud of our history of producing quality floors.
